The award winning Frameman system continues to be further enhanced.

This latest version of FrameMan now incorporates a stock control system (which has taken nearly four years to develop) and lots more enhancements to make your business more professional.

Despite the program's power, it is extremely easy to use and basically it's only a matter of clicking on the buttons with the mouse and entering data.

The following is a brief description of some of the facilites:

• Database

FrameMan is supplied complete with a powerful database to store all your necessary data.

Full Back-up facilities are available to back-up and store your data to either an external drive or the computers main hard disc drive

There is also a facility to compact your database to save space on the computer.

• Details

This facility is where you can personalise your program with your business name and address details with any sales message you would like to appear on your order form.

• Price Buttons

These buttons open up various forms where you can enter all your prices for Mouldings, Labour, Materials, Mountboard and Sundries.

• Password

In order to protect your prices this facility allows access into the price buttons only via a password. The password can be changed by you quite easily.

• Setup/Conversion

Frameman can calculate prices using imperial or metric.

• Mailshot

With this facility you can organise a successful mailshot by being able to select previous customers who fulfil a required criteria. For example, if you are to promote a special offer on framing needlework, using the information you will have in your database you can just select that group of customers and then print out the letters and labels for the mailshot saving any wasted mailouts.There are nine formats of Avery labels supported by Frameman.

• VAT

Frameman can calculate prices with or without VAT  If you are registered for VAT then select VAT and set the percentage rate, if not then select no VAT in the VAT form.

• Network facility

Frameman now has the ability to be networked, this allows you to have more than one area for serving customers with satelite stations all accessing the same database at the same time. All orders processed staying in the one database.

• Frame Tasks and Mount Tasks

This powerful facility is where you the framer can design your own Frame and Mount tasks. The Task is a task performed when completing the customers framing order

For each Task you design you can add any material, labour and sundry items which you use to make up the task for example:

Framing\Backing\NRGlass

This is one of many sample tasks supplied with Frameman and includes

7 Labour items: Assembly charge, Back cutting, Glass cutting, Insertion, Mitre charge, Finish normal and Tape finish.

2 Material Items: Glass, Mdf Backing

5 Sundry Items (Bits and Pieces): Cord, Frame bumpers, Packing, Postage and Sticker and of course the Moulding.

The Mount Task works in a similar way but corresponds to any task related to the mounting of the order and also includes a design window where the framer can design the mount further choosing what type (rectangle, oval, circle, carved etc.) and also if it is a single, double, triple or multiple mount and also enter the relevant colours used.

 Whichever task is selected on the order all the items corresponding to the particular task are calculated together with the only thing the customer sees on the order is the particular task and not all the items included in the task.

Because all corresponding items are always included in the calculation, any staff operating this system can never forget to add these items therefore, irrespective of the operator, the prices calculated remain consistant.

• Giclee Print Calculation

You can now calculate what to charge for any print you produce from your Giclee printer

This facility will handle any type of paper/print surface, cost of inks, waste, markups, setups etc plus the calculated info can be transferred to the order form as a individual order or part of a larger order including framing etc. All this included for the fantastic low price of Frameman

FrameMan 4 Professional  has now a lot more enhancements.

It is supplied complete with an extra powerful gallery database to store all your gallery artwork details.

Full Back-up facilities are available to back-up and store this data to an external drive or the computers main hard disc drive

• Gallery Section

Not only can you keep stock of all your artwork but the program will keep a record of what you have sold.

• Update

You can also update any artwork details such as change of price, or change some detail just by the touch of a button.

• Checking cost values 

With the gallery module you can see instant up-to-date cost values of all your artwork at the touch of a button along with the added bonus of these prices being password protected.

There is now an enhanced Cost section for the frame calculation, which will now show a running total costs and individual material costs as you progress through the order and showing you that all important Net Profit figure

• Detailed Print-out

With the version 4 you are able to print out a comprehensive list of all arwork details in catorgory order with retail and cost prices.

• Adding to the Order

It is a very simple operation to add any artwork you are selling from your stock to the framing order, just simply highlight the artwork, then press a button to see all relevant details appear on the order form - very easy!.

• Finding Artwork or an Artist

With its new powerful search engine the gallery section can find that print or piece of artwork fast. Just select either artist or title then type in the relevant details, press the find button and the computer will do the rest and will highlight the artwork with all its details. See at a glance if you have a particular print on stock. - This will impress your customer.

• Stock Control

With the Stock control you can see at a glance the value of your stock any time of the day. You can print out a list of mouldings low on stock for ordering purposed, showing minimum stock levels etc.  You can also see at a glance just how much of a particular moulding you have sold.

• Low stock list

Incorporated in this version are various reports on stock including the very useful Low Stock List.
This will show you just which stock you need to order supplier details, price and other details.

• Letter Writing Facility

A full letter writing facility is available with the beneift of writing and storing standard letters. Simply select which customer you wish to send the letter to, then at the touch of a button the software will print out each individual customer a personalized copy of the letter along with a printed envelope, ideal for mail-shots.

• Print Orders

A new Print-Order section allows you to store orders for prints and will print out a separate Print-Order. You can also include the framing requirements with the same order.

• Order Adjustments

The ability to change Order details on the Order form or in Back-Orders is much easier now.
Allowing Qty, Desciption, Details and even Price to be changed with Net, Vat and Total figures automatically altered.

• Second Currency

A second currency can now be added into the software ideal for companies using dual currency.
You can calculate in one currency then at the touch of a button, convert to the other currency.

• Quotes

Functions such as issuing a Quote have benn much improved allowing Quotes to be stored in the database and converted to an Order at the touch of a button.
